This year, Garrett County had a record 5 students attend NRCC! We are thankful for a number of organizations and businesses who have donated additional funds to help support our increased number of students this year! Thank you to Western MD RC&D, Allegany County Forestry Board, Becoming an Outdoors Woman, Maryland Forestry Foundation, Oakland Rotary, and Oakland Civic Club for their support of this year's students.
A special thank you also to Green Acres Garden Center for donating part of the cost of an electric chainsaw for our fundraiser. As a result of this raffle, we were able to raise over $1,300 to support next year's students! If you know a high school student interested in learning more about career opportunities in natural resources, encourage them to apply!
